The rules that keep iWakeel fair

iWakeel is an online marketplace and information platform that connects individuals seeking legal services with independent, self-employed lawyers practising in Pakistan.

iWakeel is not a law firm, does not employ lawyers, and does not itself provide legal advice. Listed lawyers are independent professionals responsible for their own work and conduct.

Creating an account, browsing lawyer profiles, or otherwise using the Platform constitutes acceptance of these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use iWakeel.

You must be at least 18 years old and capable of entering into a legally binding contract under Pakistani law to register.

You are responsible for:

• check_circleMaintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• check_circleAll activity that occurs under your account.
• check_circleProviding accurate, up-to-date information in your profile.
• check_circleNotifying us immediately of any unauthorised account use.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or engage in fraudulent or abusive behaviour.

Lawyers listed on iWakeel have been verified by our team — including bar-council registration checks. However, iWakeel does not guarantee the quality, accuracy, or outcome of any legal service provided.

The professional relationship formed upon booking is solely between you and the lawyer. iWakeel is not a party to that engagement, and any disputes regarding the legal services should be resolved directly between the client and the lawyer.

As a client using iWakeel you agree to:

• check_circleProvide truthful information about your legal matter.
• check_circleTreat lawyers with professional courtesy during chats, calls, and consultations.
• check_circleHonour booking commitments — cancel or reschedule with reasonable notice.
• check_circlePay any agreed fees through the Platform's payment system.

Certain features on iWakeel — document downloads, document reviews, Q&A posting, and advance booking deposits — may require payment. All fees are quoted and processed in Pakistani Rupees (PKR).

Payments are processed securely via our payment provider. iWakeel does not store full card details on its servers.

Bookings may be cancelled by either party up to the start of the consultation. Refund eligibility depends on the cancellation timing and is governed by the refund terms shown at the time of payment. Repeated last-minute cancellations may result in account restrictions.

The iWakeel brand, logo, design, source code, document templates, and editorial content are protected by copyright and other intellectual-property rights. You may not copy, reproduce, redistribute, or create derivative works without our prior written permission, except as permitted under fair-use principles.

You may not, while using iWakeel:

• check_circleImpersonate any person or misrepresent your credentials.
• check_circlePractise law without being a lawyer admitted to a Pakistani bar.
• check_circlePost abusive, harassing, defamatory, or unlawful content.
• check_circleAttempt to scrape, reverse-engineer, or disrupt the Platform.
• check_circleUse the Platform to circumvent applicable laws or court orders.

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. iWakeel does not warrant that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any defects will be corrected.

iWakeel expressly disclaims liability for any legal advice, document, Q&A answer, or other communication provided by lawyers on the platform. Any reliance on such information is at your own risk.

To the maximum extent permitted by Pakistani law, iWakeel shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Platform or any lawyer services facilitated through it.

You may close your iWakeel account at any time from your account settings. We may suspend or terminate access for any account that violates these Terms, after notice where practicable. Soft-deleted accounts are retained for 30 days for restoration, then permanently erased.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Pakistan.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Platform after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms. Material changes will be communicated to registered users by email.
